Traditional training in the Chinese martial arts  

The Davis Chinese Kung Fu Class provides training in the Chinese martial arts popularly known as "kung fu". Several benefits are promoted through the practice of traditional Chinese martial art exercises and forms. These benefits include self-defense training, improved health, posture, stamina, breath control, balance and coordination.

The Davis Chinese Kung Fu Class was founded in 1979 and is taught by Master Lai Hung. Assisting with the class is Al Loui, who has trained under Lai Hung since 1993.

New classes start up every quarter for both beginning and continuing students and are offered through the UC Davis Experimental College: 260 S. Silo, UC Davis, Davis, CA 95616, phone: (530) 752-2568.

Classes meet every Monday and Thursday, 6-8PM, at the Silo Courtyard on the UC Davis campus.


The DCKFC is located on the UC Davis campus at the Silo Courtyard.
Take the Hutchison Drive exit from Highway 113 and go east onto the campus.
Park in Lot P43. The Silo Courtyard is at the southwest corner of Hutchison Drive and California Ave.
